The pressure to study, perform academically, manage your time well and stay focused can be a lot to handle. Many teens feel stressed and anxious about school.
Being a teenager means becoming more independent, making your own choices and figuring out how you want to be in the world. This can be challenging for you, parents and other family members.
From friend drama to new romantic experiences, it's not always obvious how to handle certain situations, and if you feel like you don't have anyone to talk to, it can be pretty lonely.
Health and wellness are important throughout our lives, and it takes time and practice to develop skills that work for you and your goals.
Hi, I'm Sophia. Sharing your experience with a non-judgmental and supportive person can be so useful. In addition to my graduate degree in psychotherapy, I hold a diploma in Child and Youth Care, and I have a background in crisis intervention with youth. Trying new resources, considering new perspectives, and reflecting on yourself in therapy can bring about positive change.
Appointments are in-person or virtual, and my rate is $150 +HST per hour session.
I'm pleased to offer parents and teens a free, 20 minute consultation where you can share more about you and your situation, and we can assess how we might work together.
I encourage teens to be present during the consultation.
