Stuck at work? Believe you're capable of 'more', but not sure how to do it? Work dynamics affecting your life or relationships?
Things like family expectations, societal pressure and financial need, while important considerations, are not always reflective of your interests, values and lifestyle goals, particularly as you grow and change over time.
Men especially can feel pressure to be a provider for their families, and may believe that their worth is attached to achieving certain life milestones.
Defining success for yourself and working towards alignment is the focus of career counselling.
This commitment free consultation will give you the opportunity to get to know John Sendim (below), assess if it's a good fit, and address any questions you might have about the process.
John first began Career Counselling when he started working at the University of Toronto as a Peer Career Advisor, assisting students with navigating on-campus resources and figuring out what to do with their degrees. Since then, John has worked with many clients who are assessing themselves and their careers to make decisions that better align to their values and lifestyle goals. John is passionate about working with men, and creating a supportive space for them to share their challenges and explore their options.
“With men, we just get deep into our work, and we don’t realize our emotions or what’s going on in the background. This can also impact our work, our relationships and our life around us.”
As a Registered Psychotherapist, John’s services are covered by many employee benefits plans.

We welcome your questions!
Totally normal! Our society holds so much stigma around the idea of ‘mental health’ and men specifically are often expected and conditioned to not ask for help and ignore their emotions. This can end up creating a lot of shame around the idea of getting help – including counselling.
The good thing? Career Counselling is led by YOU and can stop and go as you decide. Each consultation call is commitment free, and you don’t have to worry about signing up indefinitely. If after a few sessions you feel Career Counselling is not for you, there is no obligation to continue.
